It's a blankets, baked beans on toast and binge-watching The Crown kind of Monday night (...although honestly, I thought the first episode of the new season was pretty dull) ❄ . . Feels frosty out there tonight; apparently there's a polar vortex heading our way which *might* mean snow...?
When you find the perfectly gooey, totally foolproof chocolate brownie recipe, it's your moral obligation as a human being to pass it on. ...Uh, that being said, whether you - y'know - actually *share* any of those brownies, is totally your call. 🍫 (link in bio) . . Happy birthday (not so) little brother! 🖤
I defy anyone to take a wander through the @morgan_quarter and NOT feel Christmassy. I think even Ebeneezer Scrooge would stomp in one end and come skipping out the other. 🖤 . . Christmas kind of pounced on Cardiff this week, didn't it? Winter Wonderland is open, the Christmas Market opened up yesterday, the Coca Cola truck parked up today, there's the @christmasmakersmarket over the weekend in Penarth, and #CityOfArcades Day tomorrow. If you're planning on making a start on your Christmas Shopping in Cardiff, I've got a full guide up on the blog including a list of some of the offers running in the arcades tomorrow. (Link in bio) 🖤
Oh hey, hi there, hello. I'm the bellend who drives to events where there's an open bar lined up with all you can swig espresso martinis and then spends the evening gazing longingly at everyone's drinks. 🍸🍸🍸 . . Loved getting a sneaky peek at @theivycardiff last night; the decor was Great Gatsby meets Owain Glyndwr and it was gooooorgeous.
Keeping this guy close and the TV turned right up tonight. 🖤 . . There have been so many heartbreaking stories on social media over the past few days about stressed pups that it was kind of inevitable that there'd be a call for over the counter fireworks to be banned. Personally I wouldn't be sad to see them go; you wouldn't catch me anywhere near a back garden firework display and if it dials down (*Ross hands*) the surround sound that terrifies pets on Bonfire Night then I'm all for it. (Except sparklers, obvs. I love those 😊). What d'you reckon? Ban 'em? Or should we just get on with it and brave them for a few nights of the year? . How are you keeping your pets calm tonight?
