Apparently over last weekend the A470 was clogged with would-be sledgers and snow-boarders desperate to make the most of the only snow in South Wales. I sulked when we didn’t see a single flake in Cardiff, so when the weather was good on Tuesday I forced everyone out the door for a wintery walk up Pen-y-Fan.
There wasn’t a cloud in the sky, only the occasional trail left behind by planes passing over. A lot of the snow on the ground had melted away in the sun, but Pen-Y-Fan didn’t disappoint. It was perfectly Daz-White 🙂 I enjoyed giving my brand new minty green wellies a whirl. (A steal in the ASOS sale for £10.50!!!)
We chickened out of going the whole way up – shhh! – but the view of the moon dangling over the summit was more than enough to make the slog uphill worth it. We’ll get there next time, though! 😉
