Last Sunday, something unprecedented happened in South Wales. The rain clouds parted and our elusive local star actually made an appearance. Sick of sitting indoors watching the drizzle, we grabbed our coats and hightailed it to Barrybados. Only five days before Christmas, we walked on the beach…

Jackson Bay to Barry - theCardiffCwtch — We parked up near Jackson Bay and walked down to the beach. The tide was coming in which meant a mad dash around the cliff to get to the path between waves 🙂

Jackson Bay to Barry - theCardiffCwtch — We stopped at O’Shea’s for a spot of Sunday Lunch, and since the weather was lush we sat outside.

Jackson Bay to Barry - theCardiffCwtch — A go on the 2p machines was definitely in order. Sadly we only pulled enough together for 67 tokens – not enough for a mug – so we gave them to a very grateful 8 year old instead 🙂
