DIY Strappy Flats

I love strappy flats. I’m never 100% confident bashing around in heels every day and I’m annoyingly somewhere between a size 7 and 8 (clown feet alert!) so most shoes are annoyingly either too tight, or they slip off. I picked up these pink suedette flats from H&M for £8.99 (in a size 7 and a half – score!) and decided to jazz ’em up with some ankle strappage. I was originally going to use some pink ribbon but then I stumbled across this Pom Pom strip instead and thought, why not? I used a tough shoe needle to stitch the middle of each strip to the inner heel, and then stitched a tiny bit of ribbon onto either end of the strip to make the straps easy to tie. Easy! 🙂

I definitely noticed a few foot glances when I wore them the other day, including a few from my dog. He already thinks my ankles are a tasty chew toy and these probably aren’t going to help. Oh well!
