Goodbye 2018

And just like that, we’ve hit the end of the road!  Goodbye 2018!  It’s been an amazing year full of surprises, amazing food and friends (which always tend to come hand in hand!), two incredible holidays (I dipped my toes in Canadian glacier water and the Gulf of Mexico this year…), a giant inflatable pineapple, an engagement (congrats little brother!) and a very mischievous bundle of blonde fluff.  Despite how it looks through the lens, I’ve had my own little share of heartbreak too over the past twelve months – but on the whole, I really, really can’t complain; I’ve had the most incredible year.  So, here’s to 2019 (that’s insane), and to you, lovely reader; thanks for sticking around, and I hope that the new year holds only the most amazing things for you and your favourite people.  Happy New Year! ✨

Blwyddyn Newydd Dda (Happy New Year!)!  See you on the flip side!

Goodbye 2017

I can’t believe 2017 is over!  It has to be said, away from the news headlines (which continue to make me feel like I’m living through an episode of the Twilight Zone every time I tune in…), I’ve had the most amazing year and feel incredibly lucky as I tip toe into 2018. So many exciting and wonderful things happened (with more to come in the new year – stay tuned!), but the biggest one – obviously – was Bungle bulldozing his way into our lives.  Life with a clumsy ball of fluff as a shadow continues to be even better than I ever imagined it would be (and as I type this, he’s currently snoring away under the chair keeping my feet warm).

Anyway, instead of writing a long and rambling post about everything that happened in 2017, I’ll let my favourite pictures do the talking instead 😉

Happy New Year (Blwyddyn Newydd Dda) everyone!  Hope 2018 has only the loveliest of things in store for you and your loved ones.  Thanks for sticking around – see you on the flip side! X

Goodbye 2016

I was going to write a Year in Review post but I decided to leave it to a selection of my favourite photographs from 2016 to tell that story instead.  It’s been a busy year of moving houses, decorating houses, retracing old steps, indulging in plenty of amazing “bad” food and muddy walks through woods and along beaches.  Despite the unusual amount of tragedy and heartache in the news over the past twelve months, closer to home it’s been a blast and I can’t wait to see what 2017’s got in store for us all.  Thanks so much for reading and sticking with me!  Blwyddyn Newydd Dda, pawb!  Happy New Year everyone! 🙂

See you next year! x

2015 through Instagram

(Oh no not another one of those ‘Year in Review’ posts…) Once the last of the turkey has been carved up and slapped into stuffing and cranberry sandwiches (oh yes…) it’s inevitable that all focus turns towards the New Year and the one just gone. This time last year I wasn’t particularly enthused about 2015. After two difficult years I couldn’t see how the next year would be any different, but 2015 blew all others out of the water and turned out to be a defining year. 🙂
