Lobster Sugar Cookies

“Lobster” and “Cookies” are words that don’t usually share the same sentence, I know.  But when I found a lobster-shaped cookie cutter on sale, I decided it needed to come home with me and join all the other weirdly-shaped cookie cutters gathering dust in one of my kitchen cupboards.  I have no idea how often I’ll meet an occasion that calls for lobster-shaped cookies, but hey-ho, it was on sale and I’m kind pleased with how they turned out 🙂

I used this recipe to make the cookies (I halved the portions), baked them for 15 minutes and then used the cutter again to add the red icing.

And just like real lobster, you’ve got to dunk them in something hot before you eat them. Mwhaha! 😉  (was that too much?)
